LFA PC 8 BL

The LFA PC 8 BL portable compactor is a self contained 8m³ chain lift waste compactor with an integrated bin lift, supplied as a complete unit rather than a static compactor with a separate skip. It is designed for sites where space is limited and where waste is collected in wheelie bins before being compacted, providing an alternative to static compactors, open skips or loose bins.

This model is supplied as a wet specification mobile compactor, with sealed construction to contain liquids and prevent leaks. For sites handling very wet waste, such as food waste with high liquid content, a pendulum sweeper blade version is required. The LFA PC 8 BL can be manufactured in this configuration where needed to help prevent material build up inside the container and maintain cleaner operation.

The whole unit is taken away, emptied and then returned when full, making it suitable for sites where permanent fixed installations are not suitable. This keeps waste fully contained on site and helps maintain a cleaner, more controlled waste area.

As standard, the LFA PC 8 BL is equipped with a trunnion bin lift and a hydraulically opened lid, allowing waste to be tipped into the compactor from wheelie bins. The bin lift can also be manufactured with a comb lift, enabling the use of 120L, 240L and 360L wheelie bins, where smaller bin formats are used on site.

The LFA PC 8 BL is suitable for compacting general waste, cardboard and dry mixed recyclables (DMR). For typical general waste, payloads of around 3 tonnes are commonly achieved, helping reduce collection frequency and waste transportation costs. Sites generating higher volumes may be better suited to the larger LFA PC 24 BL portable compactor.

New LFA PC 8 BL portable compactors are supplied with a telemetry system as standard, allowing fill levels to be monitored with ¾ and full indicators so collections can be planned more effectively.

The LFA PC 8 BL is used on a range of UK sites, including warehousing, manufacturing, food production and other industrial and commercial premises where a self contained chain lift mobile compactor with bin lift is required.
