LFA PC 8

The LFA PC 8 portable compactor is a self contained 8m³ chain lift waste compactor, supplied as a complete unit rather than a static compactor with a separate skip. It is designed for sites where space is limited and a compact waste compaction solution is required as an alternative to static compactors, open skips or wheelie bins.

This model is supplied as a wet specification mobile compactor, featuring sealed construction to contain liquids and prevent leaks. For sites handling extremely wet waste, such as food waste with high liquid content, a pendulum sweeper blade configuration is required. The LFA PC 8 can be manufactured in this configuration where needed to maintain cleaner operation and prevent material build up inside the container.

When the unit is full, the entire compactor is collected, emptied and returned. This makes it suitable for sites where a fixed installation is not suitable and helps keep waste fully contained, supporting a cleaner site.

The LFA PC 8 is suitable for compacting general waste and dry mixed recyclables (DMR). For typical general waste, payloads of around 3 tonnes are commonly achieved, helping reduce collection frequency and waste transportation costs. Sites generating higher volumes may be better suited to the larger LFA PC 24 portable compactor.

As standard, the LFA PC 8 is supplied with a low level interlocked feed door. Alternative loading configurations can be specified to suit site layout and waste type, including an open hopper or a hydraulically operated opening lid for hand or forklift loading. A bin lift can also be specified (LFA PC 8 BL).

The LFA PC 8 portable compactor is supplied as standard with a telemetry system, allowing maintenance monitoring and fault reporting to be carried out remotely. The unit is also fitted with ¾ full and 100% full indicator lights, helping sites time waste collections more accurately and avoid unnecessary collections.

The LFA PC 8 is used on a range of UK sites including warehousing, manufacturing, food production and other industrial and commercial sites.
