Industrial Granulators – Refurbished & Second Hand
We supply industrial plastic granulators used mainly to reduce plastic material into more consistent particle sizes known as regrind. The processed plastic granules can then be reused in manufacturing or sold on for injection moulding, blow moulding and plastics recycling applications.
Granulators are commonly used on materials such as ABS, HDPE, PET, PP and other thermoplastics, including production offcuts, sprues, runners and rejected mouldings. Where higher throughputs are required, granulators are often paired with a shredder and conveyor system to pre-size bulky material before granulation.
Granulator configurations and options
There are a number of features on granulators that vary depending on material type, throughput and required output size:
• Blade configuration: Straight, V-cut or hook blades, each suited to different plastic types, shapes and volumes.
• Motor size: Larger motors increase torque for harder plastics or increase blade speed for higher throughputs.
• Feed hopper: Enclosed gooseneck hoppers for safety or open hoppers for faster loading.
• Screen size: Smaller screens produce finer regrind, typically increasing material value but requiring more processing time.
• Chamber size: Larger chambers allow bulkier items or higher throughput rates.
• Output: Gravity discharge into a tonne bag, or connection to a blower, auger or conveyor system.
Plastic granulators are widely used for plastics recycling, regrind production, injection moulding waste, blow moulding waste, and general plastic size reduction prior to reuse or resale.
We source second-hand and refurbished plastic granulators for sale or rent. Useful information to provide includes the type of plastic, expected material volume, required granule size, available space, and how the material will be fed into the machine. This allows us to match the correct granulator to the application.
