LFA SC 1 BL

The LFA SC 1 BL is a super short static compactor with bin lift, designed for sites where space is limited and waste is collected internally in wheelie bins before compaction. It uses the same compact base as the LFA SC 1, making it suitable where a standard length static compactor will not fit.

The LFA SC 1 BL is commonly installed to replace loose wheelie bins or skips, allowing waste to be compacted so collections are based on actual tonnage rather than under-filled containers. This helps reduce waste haulage costs, site traffic and unnecessary waste handling. Compacting waste on site also helps reduce collection frequency and overall waste disposal costs.

Depending on waste type, the connected hook lift roll on roll off skip typically achieves payloads of around 8–10 tonnes, reducing waste transportation costs.

The integrated trunnion bin lift allows waste collected in 660L or 1100L wheelie bins to be tipped directly into the hopper. The bin lift is supplied with an all round safety cage to protect operators during loading. This reduces manual emptying and makes the machine well suited to larger warehouses or production sites where waste is generated across the building and brought back to a central compaction point.

The compact base of the LFA SC 1 BL also lends itself to dock-fed or chute-fed installations, subject to hopper configuration to suit site requirements. This allows waste to be compacted close to where it is generated without repeatedly moving material outside to an external yard.

The LFA SC 1 BL is regularly used on warehouses, distribution centres, food production sites, manufacturing premises and commercial buildings across the UK where space limitations dictate a compact solution. Typical waste streams include cardboard, plastic packaging, dry mixed recyclables (DMR) and general waste produced on site.

For sites where bin fed loading is not required, the standard LFA SC 1 static compactor is often the preferred option. Where space is not restricted, the LFA SC 2 static compactor provides a standard length alternative for general waste handling.
