LFA SC 2

The LFA SC 2 static compactor is the most commonly installed model in the LFA static compactor range and is widely used across the UK. It is suited to sites generating regular volumes of waste where a permanent compaction solution is required to replace wheelie bins and skips. The LFA SC 2 is available new or refurbished, with purchase or lease options.

The LFA SC 2 is typically installed in yards where there is sufficient space for a static compactor, a hook lift roll on roll off skip, and clear access for the hook lift vehicle to exchange skips. This setup allows waste to be compacted directly into the connected skip, reducing loose waste on site and ensuring collections are based on actual tonnage rather than underfilled containers.

Static compactors, also known as static waste compactors or skip compactors, are used to reduce the volume of waste at source. By compacting waste into a roll on roll off skip, sites can significantly reduce collection frequency, lower waste transport movements, and reduce overall waste transportation costs. Depending on waste type, the connected hook lift roll on roll off skip commonly achieves payloads of around 8–10 tonnes.

The LFA SC 2 is suitable for compacting general waste, dry waste and dry mixed recyclables (DMR). It is used across a wide variety of industrial and commercial sites across the UK, including warehouses, distribution centres, manufacturing facilities, food production sites and other industrial and commercial premises producing steady waste volumes.

A bin lift can be specified where required (LFA SC 2 BL), allowing waste collected in 660L or 1100L wheelie bins to be tipped directly into the hopper. This reduces manual handling and helps keep waste handling controlled and contained on site.
