LFA SC 3

The LFA SC 3 static compactor is the extra wide model in the LFA static compactor range, designed for sites generating bulky or high volume waste that requires a larger loading area. The LFA SC 3 is an industrial waste compactor chosen where standard static compactors are too restrictive for bulky waste.

The LFA SC 3 features a 1680 x 1500mm feed opening and a 2.7m³ loading chamber, allowing bulky waste, large cardboard boxes and loose packaging to be loaded easily without the need to break material down beforehand. It is commonly used where large cardboard boxes, loose packaging or oversized waste cannot be fed easily into a standard compactor opening.

The LFA SC 3 is typically installed in external yards with sufficient space for a static compactor, a hook lift roll on roll off skip and clear access for the hook lift vehicle to exchange skips. Waste is compacted directly into the connected skip, helping keep waste contained and ensuring collections are based on actual tonnage rather than underfilled containers.

Static compactors, also known as static waste compactors or skip compactors, are used to reduce waste volume at source. By compacting waste into a roll on roll off skip, sites can reduce collection frequency, lower waste transport movements and reduce overall waste transportation costs. Depending on waste type, the connected hook lift roll on roll off skip commonly achieves payloads of around 8–10 tonnes.

The LFA SC 3 is suitable for compacting general waste, dry waste and dry mixed recyclables (DMR). It is used across a wide range of industrial and commercial sites across the UK, including warehouses, distribution centres, manufacturing facilities and other sites producing bulky waste streams.
