LFA SC 3 BL

The LFA SC 3 BL static compactor is an industrial waste compactor, also known as a static waste compactor or skip compactor, designed for sites handling bulky waste and high volumes of material. It features an extra wide 1680 x 1500mm feed opening and a large loading chamber, making it well suited to bulky packaging waste that cannot be fed easily into narrower compactors.

The LFA SC 3 BL is typically installed in external yards with sufficient space for a static compactor, a connected roll on roll off (RoRo) skip, and clear access for the hook lift vehicle to exchange skips. Waste can be brought to the compactor in 660L or 1100L wheelie bins and tipped using the integrated bin lift, helping reduce manual handling and keep waste areas controlled.

Where required, the LFA SC 3 BL can also be used as a dual feed compactor, with wheelie bins tipped via the bin lift on one side and bulkier waste tipped directly into the loading chamber using a forklift and tipping skip on the other. This setup is commonly specified on larger sites producing mixed waste streams, allowing different waste types to be handled without restricting loading access.

Static compactors reduce the volume of waste at source by compacting material directly into a roll on roll off skip. This reduces collection frequency and waste transport movements. Depending on waste type, the connected hook lift roll on roll off skip commonly achieves payloads of around 8–10 tonnes, helping reduce waste transportation costs.

The LFA SC 3 BL is suitable for compacting general waste, dry waste and dry mixed recyclables (DMR). It is used across a wide range of industrial and commercial sites in the UK, including warehouses, distribution centres, manufacturing facilities and other sites producing bulky or high volumes of waste throughout the day.

The integrated bin lift is supplied with an all round safety cage to protect operators during loading and to keep waste handling contained within the compactor area.
