LFA SC 2 BL

he LFA SC 2 BL static compactor is the bin lift version of the LFA SC 2 and is the most commonly installed static compactor with bin lift in the LFA range, widely used across the UK. It is suited to sites generating large volumes of waste where a permanent compaction solution is required to replace wheelie bins and skips. The machine is designed to work with UK universal compactor skips supplied by the majority of waste contractors.

The LFA SC 2 BL is typically installed in yards where there is sufficient space for a static compactor, a hook lift roll on roll off skip, and clear access for the hook lift vehicle to exchange skips. It is commonly specified where waste is generated across a site and needs to be transported to the compactor in wheelie bins, reducing double handling and the number of trips to and from the compactor. Waste is collected around the site in 660L or 1100L wheelie bins and brought back to the compactor, where the bin lift tips material directly into the hopper. This helps keep waste areas tidy.

Static compactors, also known as static waste compactors or skip compactors, are used to reduce the volume of waste. By compacting waste into a roll on roll off skip, sites can reduce collection frequency, lower waste transport movements, and reduce overall waste transportation costs. Depending on waste type, the connected hook lift roll on roll off skip commonly achieves payloads of around 8–10 tonnes.

The LFA SC 2 BL is suitable for compacting general waste, dry mixed recyclables (DMR) and other dry waste. It is used across a wide variety of industrial and commercial sites across the UK, including warehouses, distribution centres, manufacturing facilities, food production sites and other industrial and commercial premises where waste is generated throughout the day.

The integrated bin lift allows waste to be tipped safely into the hopper from wheelie bins, reducing manual handling and helping keep waste handling controlled and contained on site. The bin lift is supplied with an all round safety cage to protect operators during loading.
