LFA SC 1

The LFA SC 1 is a super short static compactor, also called a static waste compactor or skip compactor, used on sites where space is limited or where waste needs to be compacted in a restricted footprint. It is the shortest model in the LFA static compactor range and is chosen where a standard static compactor will not fit.

The LFA SC 1 is commonly installed to replace wheelie bins or skips, allowing waste to be compacted so collections are based on actual tonnage rather than under-filled containers. This helps reduce waste haulage costs, site traffic and unnecessary waste handling.

Depending on waste type, the connected hook lift roll on roll off skip typically achieves payloads of around 8–10 tonnes, reducing waste transportation costs.

The compact base of the LFA SC 1 makes it suitable for dock-fed or chute-fed installations, subject to hopper configuration to suit site requirements. This allows waste to be compacted close to where it is generated rather than being moved to an external yard.

A bin lift can be specified where required for tipping waste from wheelie bins into the hopper (LFA SC 1 BL).

This short static compactor is regularly used on warehouses, distribution centres, food production sites, manufacturing premises and commercial buildings where space limitations dictate a compact solution. It is commonly used for general waste, dry waste and dry mixed recyclables (DMR) produced on site.

For sites where space is not restricted, or where a standard length unit is preferred, the LFA SC 2 static compactor is the more commonly installed model in the range and offers greater flexibility for general waste handling applications.
