LFA HB 1

The LFA HB 1 is a large semi-automatic horizontal baler used on sites handling high volumes of recyclable material. It is well suited to continuous loading applications commonly found in warehousing, fulfilment centres, manufacturing sites and large distribution facilities.

The machine is designed to bale cardboard, plastic film, PET bottles, rigid plastics and paper. With a 1500 x 800mm feed opening and an 80 second cycle time, the LFA HB 1 provides consistent throughput for day to day recycling operations. A 15kW motor generates 60 tonnes of compaction force, producing dense wire tied mill size bales typically weighing up to 550kg. The LFA HB 1 produces mill size bales required by recyclers and mills in order to offer the highest rebates available for your material depending on current market conditions.

This makes the LFA HB 1 suitable for operations generating large volumes of packaging waste such as cardboard and plastic film on a continual basis. The LFA HB 1 is commonly used in warehousing, fulfilment centres, manufacturing sites and large distribution facilities, and is supplied to sites across the UK where material is produced steadily throughout the day.

The LFA HB 1 is supplied as a standard hand fed baler, allowing material to be loaded directly into the feed opening by hand or using plant. Where required, the LFA HB 1 can be modified to allow loading via a loading dock and external walkway, with an optional canopy to provide weather protection for operators. Mechanical feeding options such as conveyors or bin tippers can be used where required to support higher volumes and reduce manual handling.

Bale ejection is semi-automatic via a hydraulic portcullis door. During ejection, the full bale ejection system pushes the finished bale out in line with the opening door, clearing the chamber fully. This allows different materials to be baled without contamination from the previous bale. A four wire horizontal tying system is used to allow straightforward and consistent bale tying.

The machine is fitted with a photoelectric sensor for automatic start up, bale full indicators and simple operator controls. With an IP65 rating, the LFA HB 1 can be installed indoors or outdoors.
