LFA WB 25 - Large Industrial Wood Burner

The LFA WB 25 is a large industrial hand-fed wood waste burner designed for businesses producing higher volumes of wood waste and requiring substantial space heating. With a 100 kW heat output, it is capable of heating areas of up to 7,000 ft² (approximately 650 m²) while allowing waste wood to be used directly on site as a heat source.

The LFA WB 25 is commonly installed in larger workshops, manufacturing buildings, joinery facilities, fabrication units and industrial spaces where wood waste is generated daily in significant quantities. It is suitable for burning a wide range of wood materials, including softwood, hardwood and manufactured boards, making it a practical option where waste disposal and heating requirements overlap.

Material is hand fed through a large 470 x 470 mm feed aperture, allowing bulky offcuts, pallet wood and sheet material to be loaded easily. In normal day-to-day operation, the burner typically uses around 25 kg of wood per hour, depending on material type and heat demand. Operation remains straightforward and manual, without complex control systems.

All LFA wood burners are approved for use in UK smoke control areas. The LFA WB 25 can also be fitted with a summer dump, allowing wood waste to be burned throughout the year without overheating the space during warmer months.

Units are supplied with a complete flue system, including 4.5 metres of twin-skinned, thermally insulated flue, taking the total flue height to approximately 6.45 metres when installed. Installation can be carried out by Landfill Alternatives or completed by the customer, depending on site preference. Flue height must extend to at least one metre above the ridge line of the building it is installed on and any nearby buildings, in line with installation requirements.

The LFA WB 25 is supplied with 3 hot air outlets, all fitted with adjustable louvers to allow heat to be directed where required within the building. One or more outlets can alternatively be connected to heat ducting, enabling warm air to be distributed into adjacent areas or across larger spaces rather than being discharged directly at the burner.

The LFA WB 25 sits within the Landfill Alternatives wood burner range between the LFA WB 15 and higher-capacity systems. It is typically selected where heat demand and wood waste volumes exceed medium-sized burners but do not require the very largest models in the range.
