LFA WB 45 - Extra Large Industrial Wood Burner

The LFA WB 45 is the largest industrial wood waste burner in the Landfill Alternatives range, designed for sites producing high volumes of wood waste and requiring significant space heating. With a 150 kW heat output, it is capable of heating areas of up to 10,000 ft², making it suitable for large workshops, manufacturing facilities, production buildings and industrial units.

The LFA WB 45 is typically specified on sites where wood waste is generated continuously and heat demand is high throughout the working day. It is suited to burning a wide range of wood waste materials, including softwood, hardwood and manufactured boards, allowing waste wood to be used directly on site as a fuel source.

Material is hand fed through a 540 x 540 mm feed aperture, with a large 1,000 mm internal combustion chamber providing capacity for bulky offcuts and higher fuel loads. In normal operation, the burner uses higher volumes of wood to maintain output, making it appropriate for sites with a consistent supply of wood waste available.

The unit is supplied with three hot air outlets, each fitted with adjustable louvers to allow heated air to be directed where it is needed within the building. As an alternative to direct discharge, one or more outlets can be connected to heating ductwork, enabling heat to be distributed across larger areas or into adjacent spaces.

All LFA wood burners, including the LFA WB 45, are approved for use in UK smoke control areas. The burner can also be fitted with a summer dump, allowing wood waste to be burned during warmer months without overheating the building.

Units are supplied with a complete flue system, including 4.5m of twin-skinned, thermally insulated flue sections, taking the total installed flue height to approximately 6.58 metres. Installation can be carried out by Landfill Alternatives or completed by the customer. Flue height must extend to at least one metre above the ridge line of the building it is installed on and any nearby buildings, in line with installation requirements.

The LFA WB 45 sits at the top of the Landfill Alternatives wood burner range, above the LFA WB 8, LFA WB 15 and LFA WB 25 models, and is selected where both wood waste volumes and heating requirements exceed the capacity of smaller burners.
