LFA WB 8 - Small Industrial Wood Burner

The LFA WB 8 is an industrial hand-fed wood waste burner designed for businesses producing low volumes of wood waste. With a 25 kW heat output, it is capable of heating areas of up to 3,000 ft² (approximately 280 m²) while allowing waste wood to be used on site as a source of heat.

The LFA WB 8 is commonly installed in small workshops, units and industrial spaces where wood waste is generated consistently but in modest quantities. In normal day-to-day use, the burner typically uses around 8 kg of wood per hour, depending on material type and heat demand.

Material is hand fed through a 360 x 360 mm feed aperture, allowing straightforward loading of suitable wood waste such as softwood and hardwood offcuts. Operation is fully manual, keeping the system simple to run without complex controls or automation.

The LFA WB 8 is approved for use in UK smoke control areas. It can also be fitted with a summer dump, allowing wood waste to be burned throughout the year without overheating the building during warmer months.

Units are supplied with a complete flue kit, including 4 metres of twin-skinned, thermally insulated flue, taking the total flue height to 5 metres for correct and compliant installation. Installation can be quoted by Landfill Alternatives or carried out by the customer. Flue height must extend to a minimum of one metre above the ridge line of the building it is installed on and any nearby buildings, in line with installation requirements.

The LFA WB 8 is supplied with 2 hot air outlets for distributing heat into the surrounding space. These outlets are fitted with adjustable louvers, allowing warm air to be directed where required. Alternatively, one or more outlets can be connected to heat ducting, enabling heat to be delivered into specific areas rather than discharged directly into the room.

The LFA WB 8 provides a compact, reliable wood waste heating solution where space, heat demand and waste volumes are modest, without the need for higher-output systems.
