LFA UCGC - Under Counter Glass Crusher

The LFA UCGC is an under counter glass crusher designed to break glass bottles on site, reducing glass waste volume by up to 5:1. It allows bars, pubs, restaurants and other hospitality venues to crush glass bottles at source, helping reduce glass waste storage requirements and collection frequency.

Built to fit beneath a standard counter, the LFA UCGC has a footprint similar to a kitchen unit. The crushing mechanism is enclosed within a foam-lined housing to help control noise, making it suitable for behind-bar and bar-back areas in hospitality settings.

Glass bottles are fed into the machine one at a time through a single-bottle feed chute. Bottles up to 110mm in diameter can be processed, including wine bottles, spirit bottles and standard beer bottles. Larger bottle formats may require our larger LFA IBGC.

Once crushed, the glass cullet drops into a removable plastic collection tote located behind the lower access door. The tote box can hold approximately 60 crushed wine or spirit bottles, or up to 90–95 standard bottles depending on bottle type. This is equivalent to around 16kg of crushed glass. When full, the tote box can be removed and emptied into glass bins, allowing significantly more glass to be stored per wheelie bin and typically reducing glass collections by up to five times compared to uncrushed bottles.

Integrated scales prevent overfilling by locking the feed chute when the container is full, helping ensure safe and controlled operation.

The LFA UCGC is commonly specified as a bar glass crusher and hospitality glass crusher for pubs, hotels, restaurants, leisure venues and event spaces where glass bottles are generated throughout service and need to be managed efficiently on site.

By crushing glass bottles into compact cullet, the LFA UCGC provides a practical on-site glass crushing solution where space is limited and traditional external glass bins fill quickly.
