LFA IBGC - In Bin Glass Crusher

The LFA IBGC is an in bin glass crusher designed to crush glass bottles directly into a 140 litre wheelie bin, reducing glass waste volume by up to 5:1. It is well suited to pubs, bars, hotels, restaurants and other hospitality venues generating large volumes of glass bottles throughout the day.

A standard 140L wheelie bin sits fully inside the machine, allowing crushed glass cullet to fall directly into the bin during operation. Once crushed, the bin can hold up to 680 bottles, compared to around 140 uncrushed bottles, allowing far more glass to be stored before collection and reducing the number of bins required on site.

For handling and safety reasons, the LFA IBGC is designed for use with 140 litre wheelie bins, as larger 240L bins would become too heavy to move once filled with crushed glass.

The LFA IBGC features a wide 530 x 240mm continuous feed hopper, enabling fast processing rates of up to 4,000 bottles per hour. Bottles up to 3 litres in size can be crushed, making the machine suitable for wine bottles, spirit bottles and standard beer bottles.

The machine can be installed indoors or outdoors, offering flexibility for different site layouts and operating environments. Once full, the bin can be removed ready for collection, reducing glass collections by up to five times compared to uncrushed bottles.

Optional features include bin full sensors, automatic start operation, and a dust extraction system where ventilation is limited or required.

The LFA IBGC is commonly specified as an in bin glass crusher for hospitality and food service sites where glass bottles are generated continuously and need to be managed efficiently.
