Shredders

Industrial shredders are used for many different applications. Main use cases are to destroy bulky materials like old products and general waste, confidential shredding of documents or media (cds, usb sticks, hard drives etc), or to reduce the size of material like plastics ready to be processed in a granulator for regrind for resale or reuse.

There are many different features on shredders that can vary:

• Shaft configuration: Single, twin or quad shaft, each suited to different material types and throughput needs.
• Hopper type: Enclosed goose neck for safety or open hoppers for loading speed.
• Teeth width and length: Impacts the shredding size and throughput.
• Motor size: Larger motor sizes can affect the torque to reduce jams or increase speed for throughput.
• Screens: Can be fitted to single shaft shredders to get more size consistency with output.
• Gearbox type: High torque or high speed.
• Cutting chamber size: Larger chamber for bulkier items or higher throughputs.
• Output: Gravity fed into tonne bag, blower, auger or conveyor.
